The Real London Bridge!!

Last night while Kylan was at Home Depot buying the board to make Miles’ “bunkbed”, an employee mentioned that we needed to check out the London Bridge and take the 15 minutes, $2 ferry ride to a casino resort and back. So this evening, after Kylan got home from “work”, that’s exactly what we did. London Bridge was so close to our campsite, we could see our “home” from the ferry!

This bridge was auctioned off in London due to it constantly “falling down“ and needing repairs. So the wealthy mayor of Lake Havasu City purchased it as an investment to drive more traffic and tourism to the city in 1971. And the lampposts on the bridge are made from melted down cannons captured by the British from Napoleon’s army after the battle of Waterloo in 1815! Interesting isn’t it?! (Sounds like @brecky.breck is filming here soon! 😉) It’s a beautiful bridge and a fun evening destination for a ferry ride and dinner!

Still can’t get over the fact that we haven’t spent much money on anything other than gas, food, and camping fees (occasionally. We’ve stayed in a lot of free spots so we haven’t really even spent much in that department either.) This lifestyle is proving to be incredibly affordable if you play it smart! 🎉💕 And again, my heart is FULL. -Breck
