Major husband/wife stress meltdown
Yo! Major husband/wife stress meltdown happened the other day. A nasty fight and all. The stress got to us. Anyway, we got the ugly out on the table, looked at the mess we had just made, grabbed each other’s hand, and cleaned it up.
We played, colored, read books, wrestled, did “school”, washed the dishes, ate food.
The kids and I stayed in our cozy little “home” all morning while Kylan worked at a nearby coffee shop today. It was raining outside and I offered to go on a walk to splash in puddles, but to my surprise, no one took me up on the offer.
Shoutout to the best oldest son a mom could ask for.
Shoutout to the best oldest son a mom could ask for. He helped me with the dishes last night saying, “mom, whenever you feel overwhelmed, you should ask for help!
Dropping perfectionism like it’s hot. 😎
First time visiting Utah! Stayed in an Airbnb close to some amazing friends so we could stay up late visiting/eating cookies 😋, catch up on laundry, and Kylan could work work work.
Truck Problems #1
Kylan hitchhiked in the back of a construction truck to the nearest auto parts store, downloaded a YouTube vid his brother sent, skateboarded all the way back to us, fixed the problem, and we’re finally back on the road right before sunset!
The kids are growing - Another cheesy post, you’re welcome
We’ve been in Palm Springs at a @thousandtrails RV resort for the last week (we’ll be here for another 5 days). And it has been a blast! We’ve been swimming multiple times a day, doing crafts at the rec lodge, exploring Palm Springs, and attending the Pickleball National Championship.
Dude! This is my life! Who even cares?! Not me!
Earlier today, our trailer/house was messy, so frustration began to set in. Then I took a deep breath, walked outside, and thought, “dude! This is my life! Who even cares?! Not me!”
I just love this dude.
I just love this dude. I’m over here learning how to let go of pointless stress. He’s over here living every moment to the fullest. I’m like, “so... what’s the next plan? Do you need to go find internet to work? Today isn’t going how I imagined it.
Parked in a deserted lot behind a Starbucks for 4+ hours
Last Saturday, Kylan had a lot of work to catch up on, so we parked in a deserted lot behind a Starbucks for 4+ hours. The kids and I took a nap, played in the dirt lot (steering clear of broken glass in some spots), and ate some snacks.
Our Sweet Little Space We Now Call Home
I just have to document this sweet little space we now call home (until we upgrade to a bigger trailer. We definitely need one).
We just left Pinnacles National Park in California.
A family of four pulled up to the site next to us. They had two boys (6 and 4) and instantly connected with our kids.
Hitting the Road
Here’s the story: A few weeks ago, I was about to order some furniture for our new rental, when I saw a friend on my Facebook share photos of a remodeled van a family was about to live out of.
